Crysis 2 no menu buttons?

SO, when i boot Crysis 2 from Steam, the background comes up, with the nanosuit-thingy, but no buttons lke "Resume" or "Multiplayer". Running win7 64 bit, Radeon 5770 in crossfire (total of 2gig memory), intel quad processor.
