My iPods gamecenter won't work!?

I have an iPod 4th gen and I just downloaded a couple of games and like after like seconds the app says it can't connect to gamecenters server and when I try to play multiplayer games online like Doodle army it won't let me and my wifi connection is perfect. How can I fix this?
