Which Greek island makes the best holiday in early September?

Paxos Absolutely the best holiday I ever had. No commercialism. Fly to Corfu then taken by coach to a beach out onto little jetty and away on a speedboat driven at great speed, amazing and it takes you to the island which is small. There are no screaming discos etc The peace there is wonderful to recharge your batteries. Dress casual and go for a quayside meal, the food was amazing. Days spent either chilling or taking the local bus to nearby little 'towns'. The locals were friendly which is always nice. We had fruit and light lunches on the beach. The Greek owner of our rooms took us free of charge, although you could of hired a horse and we went to hisprivate beach and took us back later. We went for a walk and found an isolated beach just the two of us, magic. It wasnt an expensive holiday and I would go back again no problem There was a bar with music guitar etc. The whole island is asleep by 12 but you are exhausted by the sun, sea, wines and good good food Holidays are what you make them, There is a boat which takes you to an uninhabitated island where you can skinny dip or just peel off. No-one cares. Ah memories....... What really sold it for us is the way you get there it puts off families with small children Heaven. Enjoy, be safe, be happy.
