I need to renew my registered nursing license?

okay, so this time I need to do 30 contact hours. I just went on the BRN website and it states, " Continuing education courses must have been completed during the preceding renewal period (when renewing), or during the preceding two years (when renewing a delinquent or lapsed license, or going from an inactive to active license0" Okay, I might be reading too deeply into this statement, but does it mean that you do with within the last 2 years before you renew the license, or within the last 3 months (when renewing) before renewing the license??? Just to let you know, I am getting my contact hours through CME resource.....has anyone ever used this as CEU credit? I'm paying $39 and getting 30 contact hours.
